Bullets because otherwise this could be very scattered (like it isn't anyway, humor me.)
* Friday the interview went okay. It is at a temp agency so if and when I need it, they will be there. I am still debating with myself if I just want to trust that they will have enough temp assignments or hopefully a good temp to hire position available. I have a feeling they won't really look for anything for me until I don't have a job. Which reminds me I need to find out when this company is moving. I did head to the Maple Leaf where it was like club night. Seriously such a weird night there with all these really young kids there. I didn't stick around long.
*Saturday I got up and spent the morning reading, I love a good book whether it be chick lit or something heavier. This weekend it has been chick lit. I then went and had a marathon acupuncture session. My friend is licensed and I have been going to her for some time now. This weekend she said she wanted to do cupping as well. I have had this done a few times and it had been awhile. Pretty much what cupping is, they put alcohol in a glass, light the alcohol and then suction it to your back. It sucks out toxins and relaxes the muscles. It leaves some pretty interesting bruises on your back, and I can say it doesn't always feel pleasant. Especially when moving the glass from one spot to another, because they keep the suction going. Some areas however as you feel the tension leaving? Oh man....it is incredible. I could barely walk out the door I was so relaxed. I went home intent on sleeping, but I didn't, I started reading again.
* I decided to brave the Maple Leaf again Saturday night. Johnny Sketch and the Dirty Notes were playing and I love me some Sketch. The few regulars that were there talked about the weirdness from Friday night and we all just really enjoyed the music. The energy was really high from everyone that night. Everyone laughing and dancing and having a good time. It was a great New Orleans night.
*Yesterday I tried to catch up on sleep. Read for awhile and waited anxiously for the Tony's to start. I now of course want to see every show that is on Broadway. Hopefully I will get to make a theatre run up there someday soon.

Last week I talked about those NOLA moments that you can have. I had several yesterday. I was sitting at a coffee shop killing some time before having to go and do some flyer-ing for the upcoming Bonerama gig. I figured there was no better place than the Wednesday in the Square, considering that Bonerama had played there the week before. I pulled out the new addition of Chris Roses' "One Dead in Attic" My sister had sent it to me for my birthday. I hadn't read the first addition in almost 2 years, and this one had about 47 more stories in it. I was just finishing up the introduction when someone walked up to me...
"Is that a new version"
"Yup it sure is"
"Wow...more stories?"
"About 47 more"
"That is great"
I continue on reading and having my coffee. I am reliving some of the first days after the thing through Chris's stories. I remembered how I felt the first time I read them online. Remembering the despair. Someone else walks up.
"I am in that book, page 247"
"Oh yeah?"
"Yeah, they call me Peace Among the Ruins"
"Very cool"
Later the same gentleman came over and told me of a art gallery opening for Chris Rose on Nov. 2nd and that he would be doing a book signing as well, if I wanted my book signed. I told him since the first addition was signed, I might as well get the new one signed as well.
I continued reading on until it was time to get to start flyer-ing. I realized at one point that almost 2 years ago? We didn't think there would ever be this problem again....but here we are, 2 years and a few months after the thing, there is so much going on this weekend that people are going to be overwhelmed with the opportunities this weekend. It is actually a really good problem to have.

Usually after you order something on Amazon, you get a notification that it has shipped. I never got that on Friday, so I bopped on over to find out the tracking number from their website. My order was gone. Missing...not listed in the history, not as shipped. Nothing....GONE. I tried contacting Amazon via email. I had gotten an email earlier in the week, saying my order was being prepared for shipment, so I had at least the order number. However the email system they used wasn't recognizing that as a order number. I finally got a hold of someone and yes my order exsisted, and yes it was on it's way. Via UPS. I was having none of that however. I had been avoiding the web, radio and TV as much as possible the closer it got, as I didn't want to hear any spoilers. That was so frickin hard to do. I called up Faulkner Books in the Quarter and reserved a copy. For the first time ever, I went to a Harry Potter release party. It was cute, it was fun and everyone was excited. It took place in Exchange Alley, which with a slight stretch of imagination, it could pass for Diagon Alley. I didn't officially start reading the book until 7:30 AM on Saturday. (of course I had to go out on Friday night....it wouldn't be a Friday night unless I went to the Maple Leaf, and this Friday is a whole story on it's own) I got home at about 4, but I really really wanted to start the book so I woke myself up early. I probably read about 4 pages before falling asleep for a bit...woke up again and tried again...to fall asleep again. I woke up at 10:30 AM and didn't put the book down again until I finished. At 10:00 PM (one advantage to being single and childless and having NO life whatsoever) The book was much more intense that I had anticipated. Overall I was satisfied with the series as a whole. I don't want to say much more because I know there are people who are still reading it, or who will start reading it soon. Oh and the order from Amazon? showed up at 4 PM Saturday...via USPS...not UPS. I have a friend who is getting that copy when she is done writing a grant. :)
I was just perusing my email and noticed there was one from Amazon saying my order had shipped. I about had a heart attack. I had gotten a notice yesterday saying that my Harry Potter book was being prepared for shipping and was coming via UPS (YAY!!) So there is a small chance I will get it earlier than if it had come USPS. I had seen a small headline saying that some books shipped early. I don't know the details as I didn't click on it, but when I saw the email from Amazon saying my order shipped I wasn't sure what I would do if it was my Harry Potter book. Would I start reading it right away??? Or would I wait until midnight on Friday? Just to make it proper? I don't have the will power to wait, if it was right in my hands. I would have to give it to someone to do a lockdown on it until midnight. To make it right. Alas, it was not the Harry Potter book, it was a trashy novel I ordered yesterday and a CD. I put the order in early yesterday morning and then promptly forgot about it. I am excited for this order, although not as much as the Harry Potter one. This one has the cast recording for "Curtains" in it. I love me some David Hyde Pierce and I really really really want to see this show before he leaves it. I want to spend a week in NYC just going to shows. There are so many I want to see right now....but that is for another post.
I clicked over to the internet this morning and one of the top stories was about Harry Potter. It was a story about the "people" out there that are claiming to have advance copies of the book and are posting the various main plotlines, including the ending. Why??? Why are these people doing this? Does it give them some sort of rush? Do they think people can't wait for the book and just have to know RIGHT NOW?? Those people, just don't understand nor get it. It is the anticipation of something you love, be it the release of a book, your birthday, Christmas whatever. Why ruin suprises or try to make find out the outcome to something before it happens? I am so excited for this final book. To finally hold it in my hands, crack open that never before open book, smell the freshly printed pages and turn the page to the beginning of the end. There is nothing that can replace that. I have a feeling I will devour the book in 24 hours or less....then I will reread it, slower and really take everything in. There is nothing like a good book that you literally just can't put down. Sunday afternoon I am going to the matinee for the Order of the Phoenix. Yes I have seen it already, but that doesn't really matter. I am going with 3 of my friends who haven't seen it yet. I have a feeling it may take on a whole new light after finishing the final book.
Holy SHIT!! It isn't FRIDAY!!!" So it's not quite the greeting that Norm got when he walked in to the door on Cheers, but it was quite amusing overall. Last night we went to the Maple Leaf. On a Monday. I think we may have slightly confused a few people by being there. Jeff, the bartender du jour on Friday nights, being one of them. Why did we go out on a Monday? Was it the music that enticed us? No...not really. It was the fact that Kristen came back to NOLA after working for 6 weeks in Houston. She actually made it back to town early Sunday evening and there had been a short discussion on whether or not to go out that night. We decided to wait till more the "regulars" were there. Kristen managed to embarrass herself, not once, but 4 times. I think in reality on one was observed by the entire bar. Rick knows now not to sneak up behind her. She startles easily.
Today is either going to creep it's ass on by, or it is going to go really fast and I will be asleep before 5. I am hoping for the going really fast. It will cut down the waiting time for the final Harry Potter book.
Friday night was an amazing night of music. It was Paul Sanchez, Sonia Tetlow, Mary Lasange, David Torkanowsky and the drummer from the Iguana's. It was shorter sets as Paul still wasn't feel all that great, but you couldn't tell. The music was ON FIRE. Really, there was no other way to put it. There was a fun group of people there, including Chris Rose. Shelley, Paul's wife said I could come visit her on the set of K-Ville when she starts back up to work in a few weeks. WHOO HOO!! :) After Paul finished it was time to head to the Leaf and hear the rest of Tony Hall's set. Amazing.....then off to home. I didn't move much of Saturday. I tried watching a few movies, only to fall asleep within in 5 mins of each one. I guess my body was just tired.
That evening I went over to some friend's where we ate a lot of food and drank beer. It was nice to get to meet their neighbors and hear some interesting stories about a few people we all know....It was nice.
Yesterday I caught up on some tivo, finished up a book (I kinda gave up keeping track of the 50 book challenge....I have read at least 10-15 that haven't been put up here if not more) ran some errands, cleaned the house and watched a few movies. I caught "The Holiday" which was sweet and Marie Antoinette. I found this movie to be MUCH better than Sophia Coppola's last one. (it was soooo boring, Lost in Translation) it was visually beautiful. A little weird in areas, like the flashing of banners on a painting. It told the story, yet didn't. I felt there was so much more that could have been told, and the ending was way to abrupt for me, yet I still enjoyed the movie.

#4 Cheet ~ Anna Davis. Quick silly read.
#5 (#2 in Classics) Winter's Tales ~ Isak Dinesen I got this book for a Christmas gift, it is by the same author that wrote "Out of Africa" It is a collection of very vidid stories. I found myself sucked into more than one story. Again most of them were very dark, but worth the read.
#3 The Stranger ~ Albert Camus translated by Matthew Ward
This is my first classic book of the year. It was first published in Frace under the title L'Etranger. This book was very intriguing and depressing. The style in which it was written brought me into the story so fast. I kept trying to figure out why I cared about this story, the character was just well.....distant. It is definetly a book to read, I know I haven't fully processed it.
#1 Lifeguard~James Patterson...quick fun light read.
#2 Running with Scissors~Augusten Burroughs wow...what a weird book. It was good however.
I will be reading at least 10 classics this year. I have 2 already given to me by a dear friend. One is a collection of short stories and I have read the first two. Both very excellent reads.
#74 God Don't Like Ugly ~Mary Monroe (great book)
#75 Lifeguard ~ James Patterson.
So I am thinking that I may be done for the year. I have another James Patterson book that I snagged from my parents that I can probably finish before Monday. 75 sounds like a nice round number however. We shall see. I need something to keep me occupied on the bus. I will be doing the challenge again in the coming year, however instead of doing what I did this year, which was tack on 10 books to the previous year (I think I was trying to read 68 books) I think I am going to do 50 books, with at least 5 of them being classics. So what are some of your favorite classics that are absolute must reads?? I have a few that I have tried but I get bored....I do need to expand my reading horizon however. I am up to suggestions!!
#72 Lovers and Players ~ Jackie Collins
#73 Bergdorf Blondes ~ Plum Sykes
#71 The Nerd Who Loved Me~byVicki someone.....lame chick read
#72 Thanksgiving~by Janet Evonovich.....lame....lame....lame. Started and finished yesterday. it was one of her earlier books and was just awful
#70 Lucky Stars by Jane Heller. Quick easy chick lit.
#69 Full Tilt~Janet Evanovich and I think it was Charolette Hughs? Fun quick read. Just what I needed after the last book. I didn't even pick up a new book for today. I think my roomie has a few for me to read.
#68 The 6th Lamentation~ William Brodrick. This was a fantastic book. Lots of twists and turns, you had to really pay attention to this one...full of a lot of history! Perfect book for my goal book. Last year I finished 58 books, this year I wanted to do 10 over that. YAY!! Still time to add on
#67 Voodoo Season~ Jewell Parker Rhodes
#66 Daisy Fay and the Miracle Man~Fannie Flag. Finished on Friday evening. Love this book.
Friday night after finishing the above book, Kristen and I headed out for a little Italian Pie. The food was delish, however most of the resturant was filled with a cross country team from the local high school and they were loud. Only one parent/coach there to watch over them. It was annoying. After dinner and short naps we headed over to Tipitina's to catch some George Porter Jr and the Runnin Pardners. It was a fun time. Stanton Moore sat in for a few songs in the second set and John Gros of Papa Grows Funk stopped by for a few minutes. They had been in the studio recording all day. We left a few songs into the second set and went the Maple Leaf where we had an excellent time. So excellent in fact that we didn't leave the Leaf until a little after 5 AM. We closed the place down. The funny thing? Is neither one of us was that drunk...if at all. We were just having fun. We decided that we just needed to stay up until 6 to help our other roomie load up the car (she is a glass blower and had a show on saturday) It was just after 6 when we realized she had stayed at her boyfriend's house. I slept until about 12:30 then was up cleaning house. We eventually made our way out to where the show was, saw all the other crafts and helped our roomie pick up her area. She did good as she was the only one there with glass. I helped a friend celabrate a birthday Saturday night at Carrollton Station. Susan Cowsill put on a great two sets. I actually didn't stay that late...left there at 1:30. Considering the music doesn't start until 11, it wasn't that late. Yesterday I felt so awful. I only left the house in the evening to grocery shop. I was in bed by 8, filled to the brim with drugs (cough syrup, airborne, tylenol pm) I am feeling a bit better this morning, but still not 85%. More vitams taken and we will see how we do today. There is a benefit for AWK tonight and Bonerama is playing, as much as it pains me to say it, I don't think I am going to make it. But we will see. It is also Kristen's birthday, so we are taking her out to dinner and ice cream.

65 Suzanne's Diary for Nicholas ~ James Patterson
64 A Lotus Grows in the Mud ~ Goldie Hawn
#63 Our Lady of the Forest~David Guterson. I really really really didn't like this book. The style it was written in drove me batty from page one. But I started it, so I had to finish it. It seemed to take forever...but it is finally done.
#62 California Girl~T. Jefferson Parker. A nice murder mystery book. I thought I had it figured out, and I did but the way he wrote the story had me second guessing right up to the end!
#61~ Marley & Me by John Grogan a book that every dog, no wait make that animal lover should read.
#60 Fly Boys by James Bradley~ this was a hard read. Not because its a history book, but because of the things done in the war....from all sides.

#46 Playing with Boys-Alisa Valdes-Rodiguez
Very depressing but really well written book. My roomie loved this book and told me to read it. So I did.....it was. Even though it was depressing....it was good. There was a bit of a mystery involved...You just have to check it out to understand.
Devil Wears Prada. 2nd time I have read this....hoping to see the movie this weekend wanted to refresh my memory.
Murder List by Julie Garwood. Fun fast read
A couple friends and I are doing this challenge. We did it last year, in which we tried to read 50 books. A few of us, including power reader Lisa read more. I read 58 books last year. So this year a few of us decided to add 10 books to our total last year (if we were over 50) some decided to just stay at 50. I figured I better start listing the books here as well. My goal is 68. Here is my list so far:

50 Harbor Street Debbie Macomber
Princess Bride by William Goldman
My Friend Leonard by James Frey
Solitaire by Norma Beishir

Miracle Life of Edgar Mint by Brady Udall
Digital Fortress by Dan Brown
4th of July by James Patterson
Where the Heart is by Billie Letts
Blue Smoke by Nora Roberts
and that is it so far. obviously my taste in books is quite wide. I am reading a history book right now....I may just make it to 68!!!
#42-Flags of Our Fathers by James Bradley. I picked this book up because of the cover. It is of the famous picture of the flag raising in Iwo Jima. What a lot of people do not realize is that that picture is of the SECOND flag raising. The first had occurred several hours before. My Great Uncle Louis Charlo was part of the first patrol up Mt. Suribachi, he was part of the first flag raising. Soon after the flag was hoisted they came under attack. They quickly ended that attack. Another flag was brought up so the orginal flag could stay with that group. I wanted to know if this book mentioned my Great Uncle. (he like so many other young boys died on Iwo Jima) To my amazement it did. The book is written by the son of one of the six flag raisers in the famous picture. You learn all about these six boys from the time they were born to their deaths. I really enjoyed this book. There were times when the Author repeated himself. Not twice...but at least three times. I kept having to ask myself...am I re-reading a portion?? No, it was almost as if he had forgotten he had mentioned something about a hundred pages back. Besides that, the book really should be read. A movie directed by Clint Eastwood based on the book will be out in the fall. One of my favorite actors, Adam Beach is in it.
I haven't been posting much about my readings...because well I haven't done a whole hell of a lot. It took me foooooooorever to read one of them.
#6 My Sister's Keeper ~ Jodi Picoult (a re-read)
#7 Shopaholic & Baby ~ Sophie Kinsella not as good as the rest of the series.
#8 (#3 in classics) All the Kings Men ~ Robert Penn Warren A very well written book, however this is the one that took me forever to read. Some days I couldn't put it down, other days it I could only finish a page.
This was a nice weekend that just passed.....Friday night Kristen and I jumped on the bus and headed down to the Quarter. We giggled at the gaggle of Tulane girls that got on the bus. They were planning the "pubs" they wanted to hit. One of the girls asked the group, "Do you guys have IDs?" The answer was no. And one of them was wearing there senior prom T-shirt for 2005. Yeah better planning next time ladies. Turned out they were going the same place as us, Molly's. Whenever I saw them that night, they were outside, no drinks in hand. We had a great time, and winded down the evening at Cafe Amelie where Leroy was playing. Saturday was spend with the Arabi Wrecking Krewe as we tackled a new house. There were a lot of people there to help, thanks to the Vets who came out. That is Veterans. They were in town for part of this walk/march protesting the war. I believe they started in Bilioxi. Yesterday there was a big anti-war rally out in Congo Square that they also took part in. Anyway this house, the back yard was transformed from a jungle of downed tree branches and debris to a clean prairie. Almost all of the inside was cleaned out. The roof was finally tarped. Next comes some demolition....it was a good day. I fell asleep at 9:30!!! Of course that meant I was up at 6:30 yesterday. Kristin had to run to Target so I hitched a ride. We also stopped at Barnes and Noble where I loaded up on some books. The afternoon was spent reading and cleaning up around the house. I finally cleaned up all the Mardi Gras beads!! I then headed out to the Palm Court where Leroy was playing.....had a couple glasses of wine and enjoyed some really good music.
Tomorrow is a half day for me. Gonna tackle the car issues big time. I heard from Mike (Lisa's husband) who ran my plates for me. (He is a State Trooper and a chip licker) The car is not stolen which is good. I did some research online and found out that the dealer had 20 days to get the title transferred. When I called in late Jan/early Feb, no work had been done to do that (this was according to the TX registars office) I also heard from the Ft. Worth police and I need to call them to file a police report. Fun times ahead!!

I seriously thought I would throw my phone (aka my alarm) out the window this morning. Then I remembered a few weeks ago I was almost out of my mind when my phone didn't work. So I got up. I shouldn't be complaining about sleep. Cuz for some people like Zoot? Sleep is non-existant right now.
But let me tell you how stressful my evening was. Oh wait it wasn't!! I read for awhile, then I watched Scrubs. Then read for awhile more. So far, this is a damn boring blog post. I am back downstairs on the phones today and tomorrow, so expect more posts.
Oh here is something....right now on accuradio, Broadway channel, they are playing "I should tell you" from the Rent soundtrack. I know some of you are saying "you said soundtrack and you always correct us when we refer to a soundtrack with a Broadway show." Well the difference is, this IS the soundtrack from the 2005 Movie. Not the cast recording from the Broadway cast. So there!! I was so happy that the movie is out on DVD now. I can watch my girl crush Idina Menzel (aka Taye Diggs wife) when ever I want. I want to be her when I grow up. She has an amazing voice. I also get to watch the fantastic, beautiful and amazing Jesse L. Martin whenever I want. Okay so I could always just switch to TNT or something and catch him on Law and Order....but he SINGS in this movie just like he did on Broadway, and he makes me cry when he sings at Angel's funeral. I haven't delved into the extra's on the DVD yet. I may do that tonight. Wait is Lost new tonight??? I heard it wasn't...anyone??
I put up a few pics from this weekend in the last post...and holy darkness on my work computer...I swear I can see them on my computer!! Don't know if its the monitor here, or what. Anyway....I thought I would share my weekend. I know everyone is just waiting anxiously for details right??? Yeah I thought not. ;)
I took Friday off to go to the clinic. One of my roomies said they would give me a ride, on her way to class...so I left a bit later than planned but I am not one to give up a free ride. Turns out I should have. I got there just after 9 AM. They had closed the clinic line for the day. They already had 1500 or so people in line. Apparently they started lining up at 4 AM.....they were going to start taking registration at 6 AM on Saturday morning. So that was my plan. I went home and crashed for a bit. I had gone out on Thursday evening and saw/heard Craig play at Palm Court. So I was tired. I did some fun things like laundry and stare at the TV. I couldn't even concentrate on a book. That has been happening a lot lately. As I was watching the opening ceremonies for the Olympics, I got a call from my mom with some very bad news. It wasn't suprising...but at the same time it was. Of course I thought "what the hell else can go wrong???" About 20 minutes later I had to leave for the Leaf. I know for some people that the last thing they would want to do is go out. However I needed to. I needed the music of the guys to help drown out all bad crap. Some people understand what I am talking about...some don't. It helped that my friends were there, Roger and Elyse. Also the fantastic Kelly Mullins (aka Mrs. Mark Mullins) was there with her sister and she had me giggling. Frenchy was also there for the 2nd weekend in a row painting the guys. Frenchy owns the gallery across the street from the Maple Leaf and the paintings he does is AMAZING!!
Plans to head to the free clinic pretty much vanished. I didn't feel good about going to stand in a line at 4 AM. Considering I left the Maple Leaf at 3:30, it wasn't an option. Also when talking to my mom earlier, she had said that her and my dad would help out with an eye doctor appointment. Plus there is a bit more help out here right now. Hell I may just go sit at the convention center clinic one day. I don't know.
Bed around 4, up at 9:15 to head out with AWK. I took the bus part way to Ingrid's then walked about a mile in the wrong direction before my not awake brain figured out I was going the wrong way. I got there around 11 and away we went. I got to smash the hell out of the walls in the bathroom, that is cool in a sick way. We finished up there pretty early and headed over to Benny Jones' house to continue work there. We finished around 5 or so. A quick trip home, a shower later and we were heading out to the Quarter for Krewe de Vieux. We started on Frenchmens. Saw the whole parade there, and then ran to catch up to the Stompers to hear some more. We ended up catching up with them on Rampart and Canal. Then we got to walk back. Home and sleep followed.
My intention for Sunday was more AWK. However, my body didn't agree with me. Too much work on Saturday. I felt awful but when I talked to my fearless leader, she said not to worry as she had 23 Tulane Law Students and that was enough for what they were doing. I did leave my house at 1:30 to out to Tipintina's for Chris Rose's book signing. I figured I would be home around 3, and just chill for the rest of the evening. Never plan. There was more people than anyone expected. They had to move Chris outside so the music could start....I waited for almost 4 hours. In line at 2:17, out of line at 6:00. We were outside the whole time. And it was cold yesterday. However, I did have fun chatting with everyone around me. I walked back up to the bus stop on Napoleon and St. Charles and waited for over 20 minutes for the bus, continuing to freeze before I said to hell with it and I started to walk. I made it a block from Jefferson before a bus came roaring past....I wasn't at a stop. I ended up walking all the way to the river bend, stopped for food then walked up to Carrollton/Oak St. before waiting for the next bus. Luckily this wait was 5 minutes. I got home around 8, ate my dinner and collapsed. So I walked a LOT this weekend. I mean, a lot. Saturday, Sunday, and this morning? I was in the same postition I fell asleep in....I didn't MOVE.
Bring on the week now. I can take it. I hope.

Last night Adam, Carrie and I headed out to the Baton Rouge area to have dinner with two of my most favoritist people. It was alot of fun, nice and relaxing. Even if almost everyone was in bad moods when we got there...it quickly cleared up. Gayle and Hank always make me laugh. Even if I didn't get to hear all the stories because someone wouldn't finish them. ;)
If I am at home for more than two minutes today I may post the pic of my new tattoo. Maybe even a few of my very cute and sweet kitty who has forgotten who I am. I have had a lot of fun this past week, but I am damn tired. The big plans this evening are grocery shopping (starting that scary word today, you know the one "diet") and taking down some Christmas decorations. That may wait until this weekend though. I don't know. I really just want to sit down and read. Since I read 58 (?) last year I am challenging myself to read 68. I think I read a page yesterday. I better get my butt in gear. However what I just bought today, may not help in anyway. I finally sucked it up and got Tivo. Now I won't miss any more eppies of Scrubs, Will and Grace, Lost, anything with Harry, How I Met your Mother, and whatever else I get sucked into watching. I really can't wait to see Skating with Celebraties. I have a feeling I will be laughing my ass off while watching that one.

Besides watching TV alot, I have been reading alot. I have a lot of books here at Dia's house. Mom just sent me two more to read, half way done with one of them. Its the Dean Koontz "Frankenstein" series. The first one takes place in NOLA. So far its an okay read. I am working on something for my sister for her late bday present. Can't say what it is, since she reads this here. Although next week she will most likely see it. I have also been downloading lots of porn. No, not really. Downloading the free game trials from MSN. The ones that are only suppose to last an hour. But if you don't close the game out and don't shut off your computer you can play a lot longer than that. Usually enough time to either get through all the levels of the game or to tire of it. I am downloading one now. It will keep me entertained as we watch some college football. My Grizzlies don't play till 3:05 MST. Wyoming is down by 6 to TCU right now in the 1st Quarter. My uncle coaches for Wyoming. Of course I have to catch those scores on the internet. Randy has the Kansas game on now.
Last night's concert was fun, Lit is a fun band. But the band that opened for them? They were worse that "Frank" I kid you not. The lead singer couldn't hold a note to save his life and he fell off the amp he was standing on. That was actually amusing. And it was colder than snot out there, but once Lit came onstage it was okay. In a week BTE will be here and the week after CM is here. Now if Bonerama would just come out here all would be good. But since I should be home soon, maybe not. I think a Bone show at the Leaf would be a good welcome home party. ;)

That's what my Harry Potter book is saying to me right now. Its sitting behind me. Adam picked it up at the PO yesterday, and I was reading by 6. I fell asleep at 10, but got 250 pages in of reading first. I fell asleep with the book in my hands. I got another 30 pages in on the bus. Trying to figure out how I can read now that I am at work. So in the meantime, if you haven't seen it. The nakedness that occurred at the Bonerama show. If you did see it earlier, well now you can enjoy it here too. Heh..I think its Rugalator, that Craig is singing. Shirts were still on when they did "Funky Liza" for me.

I had a post all typed up...pictures and everything. And the sight crashed for awhile...and I lost it all. And I am too damn tired to re-do it. So a quick re-cap. Weekend=Good. Bonerama shows=off the hook. Whenvever you get a Mark Mullins/Craig Klein vocal sandwich. Life is good. Not getting my Harry Potter book=BAAAAAAAD. I am still pissed at the post office. They didn't even knock or ring the door bell. Assholes. Just left me a slip saying they tried to deliver it. And how do I know that they didn't knock or ring the door bell? Cuz I was sitting there in the living room, and heard them deliver the mail. And I thought the book was coming from UPS. So I didn't hurry down the stairs to get the mail. All that was there was the slip saying they tried. If I had gone down right then, I would have been able to chase after the guy. *sigh* So today Adam said he would go pick it up for me. Fingers crossed that he makes it in time. He needs to come and get the slip from me, and back to the post office before they close. At 4:30. UGH.
This may be a good day today. First of all, I had my post-op yesterday from all the laser work I had done the past two weeks on my eyes. I saw the doc for all of 5 mins and at the end he said "Get out of here, see you in 6 months" WHHHEEEEEE!!!! That means no holes in the retinas right now, and the ones that were there are closed up, and healing. And there is no detachment!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy I could cry. In fact I did a little yesterday. Then last night...I cut my hair. Its now above my shoulders, almost chin length. I love it. And I totally love everyone getting off the elevator and them stopping and saying "your hair cut is SOOOO cute" You gotta love those little ego boosts. Then tonight, right after work, I am going to meet up with my friends (who just landed) and we are driving to Baton Rouge to see my boys, Bonerama. And I am taking some "Bonerama virgins" I can't wait to see them...and if they just love the band. They will. Even if they don't...there is a bar stool they can sit on. ;) I am soooo stoked. Then tomorrow, I have the day off to show my friends around, and we are going to see Bonerama again tomorrow night at Maple Leaf here in town. Okay, so I am selling merch at both shows...but I SO love doing that....getting to talk to people about my favorite band as they are playing....making the boys some $$$?? Its a good thing. At some point this weekend I am gonna have to try to read the Harry Potter book. I don't think I will get the chance until sometime on Sunday. I have a feeling I will be up all night reading.
