It really really is unfair the amount of great musicians that New Orleans has. Last night I got to experience once again (and most likely for the last time) Royal Fingerbowl. A few names that you may recognize are Alex McMurray and Matt Perrine. Alex wrote all the songs and well really, he is a master at creating song. There were some that were funny as hell, Eggplant I am looking at you. Some that are just so so so moving. I was lucky because Debbie was there and she would give the back story on some of the songs. There were so many people there last night to experience this event. I saw people from the Maple Leaf, musicians, radio DJ's and so many more. Luckily they recorded the sets, so the night won't fade away forever. The first set itself was just over 2 hours. I left before the 2nd set was over, and at that point it had been over 2 hours again.

It was a great night, just what I needed. Great conversations, great music and some text messages that had me laughing so hard that my stomach muscles are now sore. It was good.
